Civil Engineer - Highways & Drainage


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic civil engineer to join a well-established property developer on a permanent basis. We are looking for a candidate who is able to demonstrate their experience, capability and flexibility to meet the demands of the role. The successful candidate will work on a number of residential and commercial infrastructure schemes and provide technical support to the existing team on a daily basis. The post will be based in one of our Home County Offices and offers a competitive salary.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Highway design including Section 38 and 278 agreements.
  • Foul and surface water drainage design including sustainable drainage (SuDS) and Section 104, 106 and 185 agreements.
  • Assist with technical approval submissions and planning applications.

About You

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Civil Engineering - degree (2:1 or above desirable) or HNC.
  • Studied highway/wastewater engineering at degree/HNC level is desirable.
  • Computer aided design using AutoCAD.
  • Use of PDS Site Developer and PDS Flow/MicroDrainage for highway and drainage design.
  • Use of 3 Dimensional ground modelling for cut and fill purposes is desirable.
  • Use of AutoTrack – vehicle movement tracking is desirable.
  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments is desirable.
  • Confident to liaise with all levels of management both internally and externally.
  • Computer literate in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
